21 places you MUST visit (on Google Street View)
Why not take a free trip around the world?
The Earth is a little bit beautiful. We showed you just how beautiful in
20 places that remind you the Earth is beautiful. The clue was in the name.
But as lovely as all of these places look it's rather expensive to just go jetting off across the globe, criss-crossing sites of astounding natural beauty with a care in the world.
Well Aaron Hobson noticed this and thought he'd just cut out the middle man. So he got rid off all of this 'flying' business and went on a tour of the planet from his very own armchair. He booted up Google Street View and soon found that pictures taken from the top of a car at pre-planned intervals can actually throw up some pretty gorgeous shots.
So why not try it for yourself? Take a an afternoon trip to 39 countries. Have a look around over 3,000 cities. Take advantage of Google's freely available images taken from 5 million miles of road. I can't believe you haven't done it already.

the most amazing photographs of 2012
2012 has been a great year in it's own way. It may have been full of ups and downs, victories and losses, successes and disappointment (as with pretty much any year). But how ever you've found it. It's still been full of wondrous and wonder. Or something.
All of these photos came to light this year. Whether they have been found, released after years away from the public eye or just plain old taken, they all have one thing in common. They're kind of amazing.
So sit back and take it all in.
Alternatively you take them all in here in HD.
