What Ingredients are Found in Bavolex?

Bavolex contains only natural ingredients from plants, trees or herbs. Most of the other natural supplements have not been scientifically proven to be effective. All ingredients in Bavolex have been scientifically tested and found to be effective in treating IBS.

Lemon-Balm LEMON BALM is an herb from the mint family, often taken after a meal. It helps reduce indigestion and gas. Lemon balm is also used in Europe as a mild sedative and for treating nervous tension and insomnia. [1,2] The German Commission E recognizes lemon balm for treating nervous disturbances of sleep and functional gastrointestinal disorders. Studies demonstrate that lemon balm extract protects the gastrointestinal tract against ulcers. [3]
5-Htp 5-HTP is a natural amino acid extracted from seeds of the African plant Griffonia Simplicifolia. The body converts 5-HTP into a neurotransmitter serotonin. Serotonin is responsible for regulating the speed with which food travels through intestines and is also known for regulating mood. 5-HTP helps treat anxiety. [23] It’s also used for treating premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Three clinical studies show that 5-HTP is effective for treating depression. [24,25,26]
Camomile CAMOMILE has a calming and regulatory effect on the digestive system. Camomile’s properties are great for nervous digestive upsets, motion sickness and diarrhea. It helps relieve stress and anxiety. [17] Research suggests that chamomile regulates contractions of the smooth muscles of the small intestine, which regulates the speed of digestion. [27]
Ginger GINGER is an herb from Asia that has been used for medicinal purposes for more than 2,500 years. It contains compounds called oleoresins that have anti-inflammatory properties. They are known to have a positive effect on the muscles in the digestive system. Ginger is helpful in stimulating digestion and reducing painful cramps. The British Journal of Anesthesia reviewed six clinical trials and concluded that ginger is effective in preventing nausea and vomiting. [16] Ginger also helps treat heartburn.

Peppermint PEPPERMINT helps relieve abdominal pain, diarrhea, and urgency from IBS. Menthol and methyl salicylate are the main active ingredients of peppermint, and have a calming effects on the stomach and intestinal tract.. Peppermint reduces gas production, eases intestinal cramping, and soothes irritation. [7] Peppermint has been reported to relieve symptoms of IBS in two controlled trials. [8,9] Three double-blind clinical trials [10,11,12] further confirmed the effectiveness of peppermint for treating IBS.
Caraway CARAWAY SEED is commonly used as the seed in rye breads. The combination of peppermint and caraway led to significant reduction in IBS symptoms in two double-blind trials. [13,14]
Caraway FENNEL SEED Fennel relieves the smooth muscle lining of the digestive tract and helps digestion. It relieves indigestion, gas, dyspepsia and colic, as well as reducing intestinal spasms. Fennel seed oil has been shown to reduce intestinal spasms and increase motility of the small intestine. Clinical trials showed fennel to be effective for treating abdominal pain in infants. [28]
Papain PAPAIN ENZYME is found in the papaya plant. It aids digestion by breaking down proteins into amino-acids. It also helps against heartburn and chronic diarrhea.
Bromelain BROMELAIN ENZYME is found in pineapples. It breaks down proteins. Bromelain helps promote and maintain proper digestion of meat and may relieve symptoms of stomach upset or heartburn. Bromelain helps counteract many symptoms of inflammation, including inflammation of the intestinal lining [21,22] .
Pancreatin PANCREATIN ENZYME is a digestive enzyme that is made up of the enzymes trypsin, amylase, and lipase. Tripsin aids in the digestion of proteins. Amylase helps digest carbohydrates. Lipase helps digest fats. Pancreatin enzyme complex is very helpful in proper digestion of many foods. [20]
